The Pearson Trophy was started in 1910 by Miss Isette Pearson who was co-founder and secretary of the LGU.

Since it’s inauguration the Ladies of West Herts have been proud to enter this prestigious, inter-county, annual event- now entering it’s Centenary Year..

Competed for between four countiesKent,Surrey, Hertfordshire and Middlesex. In the first round our group this year comprises Chorleywood, Old Fold Manor, Letchworth and Berkhamsted Golf Clubs.

Played in teams of seven, singles match play and on a league home and away basis, we have not succeeded in winning our division in recent years.  However, with a very strong squad exhibiting a wealth of experience, plus some talented new comers, we hope to change our fortunes and turn those very close losses to convincing wins. 

The last time West Herts won the Pearson Trophy was in 1927.

We've had great start to the season with three very good wins in November 2011.  The squad is enjoying the tournament and are looking forward to the challenge in 2012
