Playing & Dress Regulations
Numbers Before commencing the first round the Society Organiser must confirm the numbers playing golf and dining to the office, also please notify the Society Co-ordinator 48 hours before the actual society day of numbers playing golf and dining. In the event of the number attending being less than that advised, the Society maybe charged for the number notified.
Dress regulations must be adhered to by guests at all times. Please note that after 6.00pm a jacket & tie or roll neck must be worn in the Lounge and Dining Room.
Mobile Phones The use of mobile phones are not permitted in the Clubhouse.
Deposit A £100 non-refundable deposit is required for each booking The bill will be presented to your Secretary/Organiser on the day and payment in full must be made to the Club Office or House Manager before you depart.
Format of Play 3 Ball Stableford or Greensomes only, unless previously arranged with the General Manager. All guests will play from the yellow tees which are eligible for handicap purposes. Societies are not permitted to play before 8.30am. All members of societies must be conversant with the etiquette of the game and possess bona fide handicaps. Under no circumstances are beginners allowed to use the course.
General Information Course planners are available from the Club Professional The longest drive and nearest the pin competitions can de arranged through the office on recommended holes. By prior arrangement with the General Manager, companies may display banners on the course or fly their company flag from the Club’s flagpole.
Security Visitors are strongly advised not to leave their golf equipment unattended outside the Clubhouse. Neither West Herts nor their respective members, employees or agents accepts any responsibility for loss or damage to property left at owners risk either inside or outside the Clubhouse.
Dress & Regulations
PLEASE ENSURE YOUR MEMBERS ARE MADE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING POINTS
Clubhouse Casual Dress must conform to the following standards:
Clean, neat and comprising of a shirt with a collar and sleeves or a roll-neck sweater and tailored slacks or shorts.
NOTE: Shirts with slogans (not logos), denim jeans, tracksuit tops/bottoms,cargo trousers/shorts, rainwear and fleeces ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
All shirts must be tucked in unless they are square cut casual shirts and wearing of socks is optional.
Main Bar Casual dress as defined above.
Lounge Casual dress as defined above. Shorts are not permitted after 6.00 pm. Sunday – formal dress between 12.30 pm and 3.30 pm.
Dining Room Monday to Saturday – Casual dress as defined above. After 6.00 pm formal dress as defined must be worn. Sunday – Formal dress 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm, casual dress otherwise.
Formal Dress must conform to the following standards:
Jacket, collar and tie or roll-neck sweater & tailored slacks.
Stud Bar Dress as defined for the course including golf shoes.
Footwear Golf shoes or trainers are not permitted in the Clubhouse.
Course
Dress Clean, neat and comprising a shirt with a collar and sleeves or a roll-neck sweater and tailored slacks. Tailored knee length shorts with sport socks. Shirts must be tucked in and socks worn at all times.
Footwear Golf shoes must be worn. Trainers and non-golfing shoes are not permitted.
Equipment All players must have their own golf equipment and sharing of Clubs is prohibited.
NOTE: Men may NOT wear shirts without sleeves or with a slogan (not logos), denim jeans, cargo trousers/shorts, tracksuit tops/ bottoms.
Shirts must NOT be removed at any time. Peaked caps must NOT be worn back to front. Women may NOT wear sleeveless vest tops or shorts/skirts more than 4 inches above the knees.
