The golf club was established in 1890 and is one of the oldest clubs in Hertfordshire.

West Herts Golf Club Cadets completed a prestigious County double for the first time by beating Mid Herts.
One Week after winning the South West Herts Junior League, they came out on top over two legs by 8.5 to 5.5 to win the Ver League Sheild. This is the third time the club have won the league.
Team Captain Harry Speyer lifted the shield and his next challenge will be when West Herts represent the south region in the Telegraph Regional finals on Monday, October 12 in Oxfordshire.

Gary Fenton from West Herts received the BOOM handicap prize at the Junior Delegates Meeting from the trophy's sponsor, Chris James. Gary also received a commemorative salver. The meeting, held at Mid Herts on March 10, was attended by more than 70 delegates from 30 clubs.
